at falstaff's experience, sheep st, stratford upon avon

Abridged Shakespeare plays in the atmospheric courtyard of this Tudor building by the Caramba Theatre Company. As in Shakespeare's time, you will be sitting outside on oak benches, close enough to feel at the very heart of the action, all against the backdrop of the 16th century half-timbered building with genuine Shakespeare connections!

RESURRECTION

WRITTEN AND DIRECTED BY KATE GUEST

Resurrection is a retelling of Christ’s story from the plotting of the Priests and the Last Supper through the increasing inevitability of the Crucifixion to the Resurrection. It draws upon words that we all know well but with the addition of music and lighting a group of actors bring it to life in a way that not only challenges the audience but also draws them into the action. Being confronted with the awful determination of the Priests to have him put to death at any price we have to ask ourselves how would we have reacted?

Initially produced for a short tour of a number of Churches in the Stratford upon Avon area it has in the past three years grown in response to audience acclaim. It has now taken on the importance of an annual passion play travelling further afield and playing to larger audiences.

IT IS A MOVING PIECE OF THEATRE WITH STRONG PERFORMANCES AND MUSIC FOR ALL AGES. THIS WILL YOUR LAST CHANCE TO SEE THIS POWERFUL PIECE.
